Personalized Beach Towel
Schools out and the dog days of summer are here. To keep things fun and fresh, I wanted to make a few personalized beach towels.
This project is for all levels.
Skill Level- 1 Button
Materials:
- towel
- scrap fabric
- double sided fusible
Tools:
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
Basic Instructions:
- To personalize my towel, I cut letters from my favorite font and used this simple appliqué “how to”.
- Trace and cut letters from fun fabric following instructions found on your double sided fusible.
- Position along edge of towel. Cover with press cloth and iron/”fuse” in place.
- For extra strength, I added a simple straight stitch all around each letter in a contrast color. *Note: The bobbin thread color was the same as the towel. This hides the thread.
.
My girls just love to give these as gifts for summer parties!
**Remember, I love seeing your finished projects. Be sure to share photos on the Facebook wall!
Happy Crafting!
