Two short weeks ago I was speaking at Phoenix at Creativation and drooling over tons of creative eye candy heading to stores near you this spring. One of my sessions was all about English Paper Piecing in the Dritz/Prym booth. Join me in Phoenix this January in for the CHA Mega Show Creativation. It will be a hot bed of creative energy, new products, and talented folks.

I showcased their new pre cut paper forms specifically designed  to help stream line the process. Now, with the help of these paper forms we can skip straight to the creating part instead of cutting shapes. The product lines includes 3 very traditional shapes in EPP; Diamond, Hexagon, Tumbler.

English paper piecing is so much fun and easy to do. This traditional technique is perfect for using up smaller fabric scraps and fussy cutting. Learn more and enter to win the starter pack.

During my demo, I showcased a few quick tips for getting started.

  • Pre cuts & rotary blades make quick work of cutting.
  • Use a temporary glue stick to affix fabric to paper shape.
  • Avoid frustration and use a needle threader.

So, if you love the look of English Paper Piecing but are not sure where to start, this is the perfect place! I have partnered with Dritz and we are giving away 3 fantastic starter kits.  These kits are perfect for all skill level and are packed with goodies that I wish I had in my sewing basket!
