  17. Hi Heather! I am brand new to your blog and I am really enjoying it. I like making handmade gifts to give and my very best handmade gift that I received was a wedding ring quilt completely hand sewn and given to me by my son’s grandmother about 30 years ago. It is frayed and tattered from much use, so I have put it away, but sometimes I take it out and display it for a while. That Baby Lock is a beauty. Boy, would I love to own it!

  49. The best handmade gift I received was a quillow (quilted blanket that folds into a pillow) from my grandmother. As a little girl, it was so much fun to take my convertable pillow/blanket with me on road trips and shorter trips to the couch!

  50. My 10 year old daughter made for me a little pillow about 2″x2″ when she was around 8 years old. I love it!

My favorite handmade gift was a decopaged box my sweet mom made for me with beautiful magazine clippings, photos and other assorted images that reminded her of me and fun things we had done together. 30+ years later I still have that box and as my Mom’s health fails following cancer and chemotherapy, I am so happy to know that the precious gift she made for me will always remind me of her and how much she loves me!
