It’s hard to imagine but we are halfway through the Slightly Biased quilt along and this week is all about building our focal block, the sewing machine block.
Since this block finishes at 24″ square, it’s a big’em! That means it might not fit on your work table. Thank goodness for the design wall!
You will need to stitch up 1 sewing machine block to complete the Slightly Biased quilt top. To help you stitch your block, I’ve created a quick video with additional tips.
The block is designed to make the most of the fat quarters in your stash but I will say that the bottom band will put your quilt shops cutting skills to the test. Truth be told, I ended up cheating with mine and caught some of the white selvage in the seams. Luckily, it’s all hidden and I love the way it turned out!
Loving the last few blocks and wish you joined? No problem, you can sign up for the Slightly Biased Quilt Along and I’ll get you all caught up!
