Friends are kind, friends are comforting and friends are patient. Each and every block within the Friendship quilt design represents a special quality found among our friends. This week, we are working on the patient quilt block.
This week, you will only need to make 1 version of the patient quilt block. The block is a basic construction highlighting the applique technique. Let’s take a look.
Patient Quilt Block:
This block uses 2 templates from the Friendship Quilt Templates collection. After tracing the design out, I fused each one to a piece of scrap. To make placement easy, I folded and pressed the base of my block of half; then each section in half again.
Once my guidelines were set it was time to determine applique order.
Since I’m more comfortable with a larger work space than this block measures, I used my quick tip from last week and started to free motion quilted my pieces in place.
It was that easy! Let’s take a look at my finished patient quilt block.
