Yesterday, I started a project for my studio – Wall Art. You see, I have one blank wall that is the 1st thing you see when you enter the space. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to showcase some of the fabrics in my ever-growing stash. Remember, I’m a fabric addict.
Wall Art Work In Progress
Since it is not up yet and I am still working out all the details, I thought I would share a few sneak peeks. I’m trying to figure out the best way to make it 3D. It is really easy to make. Just a few embroidery hoops, a layer of interfacing and fabric.
Plus, I got the most unexpected snail mail (my favorite kind!) from SewingParts Online. This super cute sewing needle poster is perfect for easy reference. Want your own? Just click the image for a printable-able version.
So, it’s not a sewing project but it is helping me get re acquainted with a few of the fabrics in my stash. I actually feel quite inspired to get behind the machine and start stitching!
What about you? What are you working on this Wednesday?

I love the way you have the circles laid out! Looks like it’s going to be fantabulous!

Thanks Candace. The tricky part is hanging it. I really want it to be 3D. Need to get the Mr. involved.

Small wood blocks behind some of them would help pop them out from the wall. It looks like it will be great! I have hoops to do something similar but no wall to hang it on. 🙂 Actually when my bff gets sheetrock up on her basement walls I think they will become decor there.

The wooden blocks are a great idea Michele! I can’t wait to get it off the floor and on the wall.

So cool. I’m getting ready to frame some of my fabric with a frame that had a really ugly picture in it. I just can’t decide if I want one piece of fabric or many pieces of fabric.

Picking the fabric was one of the hardest parts for me Ann! I still have 3 more frames to fill. Hoping to have it up this weekend.
