Sew My Stash Sew Along

Last week I announced the Sew My Stash Challenge and was totally blown away by your response. I had no idea that the challenge kits would sell out so quickly and understand that many of you would still love to join the party. So, I’m going to create a sub category within the challenge for those of you that want to stitch along.

 

Want to join the Sew My Stash Sew Along?  Great, let’s get started!  Your first mission is to gather your supplies while challenge kits are in transit.

Sew My Stash Sew Along

Supplies:

• 2 coordinating fat quarter printed fabrics
• 7″ all-purpose zipper
• all-purpose thread
• hand quilting  thread
• assorted ribbons to complement your fabrics

Since your materials will be completely different from ours, we want to see them!  That means, once you have all supplies in hand, please take a quick snap shot and share your photo with us in the flickr group. Remember, the rest of us are sewing with the challenge kit fabrics and want to see your stash.

Ready for the next step? It’s time to start brainstorming ideas for your projects.  I will be sharing inspirational ideas with everyone next week but creativity counts in this challenge.

• Week 1: Challenge kits were available
• Week 2: Gather supplies and challenge kits are being shipped
• Week 3: Inspirational Ideas
• Week 4: Get Stitching
• Week 5: Photo Time (Deadline March 5th)
• Winners and honorable mentions announced March 9th.

Next week, I will be sharing sneak peeks from our special guest designers, as well as fat quarter projects.  Get ready, you will be on inspiration overload!  I’m super excited and can’t wait to see what you stitch together!  Plus, the fabric hoarder in me is looking forward seeing what your sew my stash sew along challenge kit looks like.
