Schools out and the dog days of summer are here. To keep things fun and fresh, I wanted to make a few personalized beach towels. This way, my girls will never leave their towels behind.
This project is for all levels.
Skill Level- 1 Button
Materials:
- towel
- scrap fabric
- double-sided fusible
- funky alphabet template
- sewing machine
- basic sewing supplies
Personalized Beach Towel
Basic Instructions:
1. To personalize my towel, I traced letters from my Funky Alphabet Font Template
onto the paper side of the double-sided fusible. Follow the manufactures instructions on fusible and iron letters to the wrong side of fun fabric. Cut your letters out carefully.
2. Position along the edge of the towel, peel paper backing off, and press in place. Be sure to cover with press clothing to prevent the adhesive from melting to iron.
3. For extra strength, I added a simple straight stitch all around each letter in a contrast color.
*Tip: Change the bobbin thread color to match the towel. This will hide all the stitching thread.
