Have you ever created a dog ear when sewing? I like to use them for extra strength and stability on my patch pockets. They are super simple and only require your straight stitch.

Sewing patch pockets can be boring and over time, the top edges may come undone or start to pull away from the base fabric. By adding this simple triangle you will increase stability and a fun top stitch detail.
