It’s time for me to shift gears in the Blocks 2 Quilt series and make a few blocks that are completely scrappy! The Blooming Lily quilt block is the perfect example of how amazing scraps can look when stitched together.
This block comes in two sizes and I’m not sure which one I like more. The larger block can really showcase those prints but something about using those smaller fabric bits makes me happy.
Blooming Lily Quilt Block Details:
Each finished quilt block measures-
- 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)
- 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm)
Material & Tool Supply List:
- Assorted Scraps: Assorted Pinks, Yellows, Blues & Background Prints
- Cutting mat/ Rotary cutter/ Quilt ruler
- Heat erasing marking tool
- Spray starch
- Basic Sewing Supplies
This block is a simple patchwork construction that requires no special cutting. It is the perfect skill builder for the beginner.
