Blooming Lily Quilt Block | Blocks 2 Quilt Series

It’s time for me to shift gears in the Blocks 2 Quilt series and make a few blocks that are completely scrappy! The Blooming Lily quilt block is the perfect example of how amazing scraps can look when stitched together.

Looking to improve your quilting skills? Join the Blocks 2 Quilt sew along. Each week a new block will be shared with complete instructions for easy sewing.

This block comes in two sizes and I’m not sure which one I like more. The larger block can really showcase those prints but something about using those smaller fabric bits makes me happy.

Blooming Lily Quilt Block Details:

Each finished quilt block measures-

  • 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)
  • 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm)

Material & Tool Supply List:

This block is a simple patchwork construction that requires no special cutting. It is the perfect skill builder for the beginner.

Remember you can add the Blooming Lily quilt block to your library for free this week after that, it will be for sale in the shop.

Each block in this series has been such a blast to plan and seeing your photos an extra bonus along the way. So, please keep sharing your finished blocks. Between the fabrics that you pull and the personal touches that you add, each week you inspire me! So please, don’t be shy… After your block is stitched please share a few pictures of your work using the hashtags #Blocks2Quilt and #TheSewingLoft so we can all see.

Are you loving the series and still want more? Well, you are in luck because every Friday throughout the year I’ll be sharing a new block. So, be sure to sign up for my newsletter below and have the block articles delivered straight to your inbox.
