Happy Friday! Wow, that was a ton of HST’s in last weeks block! The good news is that our last unit is the butterfly block and it’s simple.
This block is an easy sew and a great way to use up a few scraps. You will need to complete 6 blocks to complete the Dandy Drive Quilt. Each block will measure 15 1/2″ square unfinished and 15″ finished.
I’m only going to give you a sneak peak of a butterfly block today and will leave the rest for the final quilt assembly.
Butterfly Block
Now, the block calls for a dark center but since my background fabric is dark, I switched it up and used a simple white. At first I was not sure I would like it but now, I’m pretty happy with the results.
Be sure to get your butterfly blocks stitched together and come back next week so that we can work on our final top assembly.
Inside this weeks Dandy Drive Butterfly Block goodie bag is a fat quarter bundle of Dandy Days by Sarah J. These little giveaways are a fun way to build your stash. Enter to win here.
