Happy Friday, it’s time for the Dandy Drive final layout reveal! Life has been pretty busy around here and I have been slow to complete my blocks so, I modified the final project to be a bed cover instead of a quilt. This change actually worked perfectly for me and I hope that this encourages others to make a pattern their own.
Each of the block units are simple to make and this pattern is perfect for the beginner. If you are just joining and want to make your own, you can find the instructions here.
Dandy Drive Final Layout
The butterfly block is my favorite and I’m thinking of making a few more to turn into pillows. Since stitching is a passion, a labor of love so it speak, it is important that each project fulfills me. So, making small alterations to a pattern or layout work perfect for me.
My final bed covering will measure 34″ H x 75″ W. It allows me to convey the feeling of the original design without stitching every block.
By now you know that each week we have a giveaway and this week is no different. Inside this weeks Dandy Drive goodie bag is a fat quarter bundle of Color Crush Plaids. This bundle is sure to make one lucky stitcher happy! Be sure to snap a quick picture of your quilt and enter here.
