It’s time for the next installment of our 2016 Block of the Month Sew Along. This month we are stitching up the Dream Star Quilt Block, unit 3.
I love how the swirl of half square triangles makes my head spin. This block is all about lining up those points!
This is one of those blocks that will look good in any print or color combo. My plan is to stitch a few from my scrap stash!
Dreamy Star Quilt Block quick tips-
Straight pins with a flat head will help you line up your points. These flat head pins are perfect for keeping your seams perfectly aligned. Find them at your local shop or here on line.
Half Square Triangles can be made in so many different ways. Here are a few options to help get you started.
Be sure to nest your seams to prevent bulk in the center of the dreamy star quilt block. Trust me, you will thank me later!

Well, that’s it for now. Don’t forget that I’ll be back next month with a next block in the Starry Night Quilt Block of the Month series. In the meantime, be sure to come find me on social media and share a few pictures of your finished block using #StarryNightQuilt as a tag, I want to see your blocks stitched together!
