2024 is off to a rolling start! Things in the studio have been super busy and even though I want to spend all of my time stitching up a storm, I feel like I am strapped to the computer.
So, I carved out time on my calendar and started the month off with a quick sew session. I pulled all the red, pink and white scraps from my Color Club Collection and started stitching a few 4″ finished blocks. My plan is to stitch a few blocks a week all year long and create a rainbow quilt from these fun blocks. If I play my cards right, I’ll finish the year off with a playful quilt that is full of charm. (wish me luck!)
Now, there are a few key dates to keep in mind this month.
- 2/16 Ship SWAP packages to your partner.
- 2/22 Quilt Con begins and I’ll be heading to Raliegh, will you be there?
- 2/23 Sign-ups begin for the Mini SWAP.
Celebrating the Season
Despite February beening known for Valentine’s Day, it’s also National Embroidery Month. And I’m celebrating in a crazy way! I bought a 6-needle Baby Lock Array at my local quilt shop.
It all happened rather quickly. But after stitching up a boatload of sweatshirts with my youngest, I couldn’t help but wonder why I ever stopped embroidering. It was one of my passions earlier in my sewing journey. There is just something soothing about listening to the hum of the machine and watching the designs come to life.
Now I know that many folks do not have a multi-needle machine and that’s no problem. I’ve got something special planned for us all! So be sure to keep your eyes peeled and sign up for my newsletter because you will not want to miss out!
February Monthly Printable
The calendar has really helped me keep track of everything in one place and avoid misplacing sticky notes. The best part is that I can slip it into my notebook and always carry it with me.

I have a Baby Lock 10 needle. I really like it but don’t use it enough. I’m too busy and don’t make the time.

Oh I understand, Karen. I’ve had mine about a month and time seems to be flying by. I am doing my best to find excuses to use it once or twice each week but I want to use it more. Stay tuned… I might just have a few tricks up my sleeve to inspire you!
