Friendship Quilt Along | Gracious Quilt Block

It’s week 3 in the Friendship Quilt Along and that means it’s time to share the Gracious quilt block. This little block is beyond cute and is so fun to make!

Like block 1, this block design is right up my alley. The simple design allows me to combine two of my favorite techniques, applique & free motion thread painting.

Gracious Quilt Block:

 

This weeks block is all about highlighting your fabrics through layers of applique.

Consider picking a few different options to keep things fun.

Since free motion thread drawing is kinda me thing, you will see me use it bunches throughout this quilt along and today is no exception.

I choose to use two different threads to highlight the design. I’m pretty smitten with the way it turned out.
