Holiday Wreath Quilt | Blocks 2 Quilt

It’s that time of year when gorgeous green wreaths are starting to be hung on doors all around the neighborhood. They remind me of a simple gesture that says welcome, please come in and say hello. That’s why this week the Block 2 Quilt design is the Holiday Wreath Quilt.

When walking around the neighborhood, I just love looking at the variety of wreaths. From burlap to pine with covered berries, they are all so unique.

Holiday Wreath Quilt Block

The Holiday Wreath quilt block is available in 2 different finished sizes.

• 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)
• 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm)

• Assorted Scraps: Greens & Background Prints 
• Cutting mat/ Rotary cutter/ Quilt ruler
• Heat erasing marking tool
• Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer
• Spray starch

The Holiday Wreath quilt block design is simple patchwork and perfect for the beginner. Even for someone who is just learning how to sew!

One of the best ways to create the perfect HST (half square triangle) is with the Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer. This ruler is my go-to! You can see it in action in this video I made here.

While the pattern itself is very simple, the design is perfect for attaching a bow after your quilting is complete.

To help make this happen, I have included a bonus template with each pattern. This way you can create a bow from any piece of fabric scrap in your stash. One look at the video and you will be making them in batches!
