No Ugly Ornaments Challenge
With the holiday count down ticking it is time to get the ball rolling with decorations. So, my friend Erin at My Very Educated Mother is hosting this super fun No Ugly Ornaments Challenge and I decided to play along!
Yesterday, she made these Wine Cork Tassel Ornaments.
Click here for the easy how to instructions. (She is all fancy and has a video!)
I thought they would look super cute with a dash of color and honestly, needed a break from sewing. After looking around for what seemed like forever for a strong thick needle (have I mentioned my space so disorganized?!?!) I just could not find one. Honestly, the drill is not my thing and I could not see asking dear hubby for help on this one. So, this is how plan B turned out.
No cork, just a reclaimed wooden spool, a ripped piece of Michael Miller Yule Critter fabric and a few buttons for color. I LOVE it! Thanks Erin for the inspiration!!
Stop back tomorrow for more “how to’s” in the No Ugly Ornaments Challenge. It is super cute and sure to use up a few scraps!!
