Secrets are fun but boy, can they be hard to keep! For the last year I’ve been working on something new and it’s time to let the cat out of the bag. Allow me to introduce Inspiring Stitches, a brand new adventure that I’ve started with my good friend Amy Ellis.
Amy and I met a few years back while working on a collaborative book, Kitchen Stitches with Martingale. From there on, each time we would connect, we would joke that we should do something together. This is that something.
Inspiring Stitches | Heartland Heritage
To get the party started we have designed and created the Heartland Heritage block of the month quilt project. This pattern is actually packaged as free standing desk calendar. Let’s take a closer look so I can show you what I mean.
On the front you’ll find the month at a glance and when you turn it around you will see the instructions for the months block. That means that each month you will have a pretty place to keep your appointments in check and a fun new block to stitch up.
Here’s a look at my finished quilt. I just love the way the my scraps came together. To say that I had fun stitching this quilt would be an understatement. Since most of it was assembled during a quilting retreat with my mom, it holds a special place in my heart.
