Sewing Apps Help You Streamline

Are you ready to make your sewing life easier? Wouldn’t it be great to have your sewing room, and ideas available at the touch of a button, especially while shopping at the store? With the right sewing apps, it’s completely possible. Here’s a list of iPhone and Android sewing apps to try. Have you used any of these? Which ones are your favorite? Technology has come so far and is helping us with everyday life, even our hobbies. Now, you can stay focused and on task with the help of these sewing apps.

iPHONE Sewing Apps

 

  1. Cora Fabric App:   Fabric stash organizing app.
  2. Stash Star Fabric:  Fabric organizing app.
  3. Pattern Pal:  Helps track your patterns, patterns notes, fabric and notions for patterns, along with a couple photos of each pattern.
  4. Tap Forms:  Create a data base for anything you want; fabric, patterns, etc.
  5. Blockfab:  Free quilt design app which lets you choose from 50 traditional blocks to try out quilt layouts and calculate the fabric requirement.
  6. Grid#: Perfect for auditioning FMQ quilting designs.
  7. Paper:  Combines all the “brainstorming” of quilting into one app.
  8. Quilting Calc:  Quilting Calculators
  9. Quilting Tutorials:  Quilting tutorials by Missouri Star Quilt Company
  10. Quiltography:  Help with every aspect of quilting.

ANDROID Sewing Apps

 

  1. Sew Awesome app:  App helps sewers track all their sewing essentials.
  2. Sewing Pattern Buddy:  App designed to bring your entire pattern collection to your fingertips.
  3. Free motion Quilting Idea App:  App has tutorials for 16 different all over free motion quilting designs.
  4. Quick and Easy Quilt Block Tool:  App helps you plan your quilt blocks.  It features 102 rotary cut blocks in 5 different sizes, with cutting instructions too.
  5. Quilting Calculators:  Quilting Calculator by Robert Kaufman Fabrics is a suite of measurement calculators just for you, in both imperial and metric.
  6. TouchDraw:  TouchDraw is not specifically a sewing or quilting app, it’s a vector drawing app.  However many quilters have found it useful for design.

It’s pretty amazing how far technology has come these days. With a swipe of the screen we can carry our coveted fabric collection with us and avoid blowing our fabric budgets.
