So, to stay true to my passion, I will be sharing even more sewing tips and easy projects in 2015 but before we get started, I want to hear from you.
What areas of sewing would you like to learn more about?
- Is it the pesky zipper installation?

- Ways to clean finishing your seam allowance?
- Or maybe you just need some friendly guidance and encouragement to help finish that long over due project.
Whatever it is, I want to hear about it. You never know what will be the inspiration for my next post!

Hi Heather,
I’m a not-so-new follower of Sewing Loft, just simply love your tutorials 🙂
In terms of sewing, my personal goal for 2015 is to have a more efficient wardrobe, and I’d love to have most of them handmade. So perhaps I’d like to learn tips on how to plan a simple & versatile handmade wardrobe.
Thanks & happy new year!

Happy New Year!

Hello, Heather. There are two things you could do to make your blog even more effective for me. First, do you have a search box for your tutorials? If you do, could you make it more prominent? If you don’t, could you add one?
Second, I love your lists. They always include great things. Could you break them into smaller bites? It’s great to have 100 tips for sewing, for example, but 100 is overwhelming! If you presented them 10 at a time, I could thoroughly explore them all. Yes, I could look back the next day. The “problem” is that you and all my favorite bloggers will have something new the next day. Isn’t that a great problem? Anyway, your lists are always top drawer and deserve more attention than I can give them. Maybe you could do one day a week for the next 10 of your current list or something.
All that said, I want to tell you that I love your blog. You do a great job and you brighten my day. Thanks!
Lou Ann

Hi Heather, I am not so new, you are an inspiration for those of us in the UK. I would like some tips on making perfect button holes. This year I am retiring early to spend more time sewing! I have already signed up for a course in pattern cutting. Can’t wait! Jane

So sweet Jane! I think buttonholes are a perfect thing to add on the list. Considered it inked in!

Happy New Year, Heather. I shrink when it comes to working with sheer fabrics and their seam and edge finishes. That would be something I would appreciate reading. Thanks for all your posts from our years past.

Yes piping and bias bindings would be good, also finished seam allowances and hemming.

Hi Heather, I would love to see more clothing ideas… I am not a quilter and I am tired of seeing all the quilting posts.
So yes, I would love to see more ideas for the family and myself. One thing more would be patterns for cotton slips, bras and camies… I have been searching for these for ever and cannot find them.
