Earlier this year I became a Michael Miller Brand Ambassador and all I can say is WOW, they have some amazing collections!
In full transparency, I was kinda nervous about the whole thing. I mean I’m a scrapper by nature, not a whole cloth girl. That means, I rarely work exclusively with one fabric company for an entire project, let alone one collection. But I have quickly learned that there are many perks from working this way.
One major perk of working this way is no stress color matching!! If you love a collection and have a pattern in mind, you can just grab the assorted print offering and go straight to the cutting table. Here is a peek at the La Vida Loca collections. Between the Lammas and the cactus, I was in love! I turned it into a duffle bag and Amanda grabbed it so fast, I still need to get pictures!
There are fabrics from many different fabric manufacturers in my stash but never really took into consideration the quality of a fabric line as a whole. Sure, I looked at each print but never a wide range of color, hue, and prints. The one thing I can share from working closely with Michael Miller fabrics this year is just how consistent the weight and hand-feel of each piece that I stitch with. From the lightest of whites to the darkest of blacks, the uniformity is pretty awesome.
If you are not familiar with their fabrics, I highly suggest that you check them out! Some of my favorites include their basic lines. Garden Pindot, Graydations, and Hash Dot. Plus, let’s not forget their wide-back collection. That is a lifesaver when you are looking to finish a quilt quickly!

Now, I know things have been quiet around here but I promise, I have been busy dreaming up new designs and working on many secret projects. I even share a few sneak peeks in the interview and am so excited to share more in the coming months!
