Monogram –
noun

- a single emblematic or decorative letter; applied initial.
A monogram is usually a general term for an embroidered (or otherwise embellished) initial or set of initials applied to something. Often you’ll find (or want to include) a monogram on items such as handkerchiefs, tote bags, and even sweaters. It’s a way of personalizing the item and decorating it at the same time. Some sewing machines come with embroidery features that allow you to apply a monogram with the machine, while in other cases you would need to stitch it by hand or use applique.
