Allow me to introduce the next edition in the Blocks 2 Quilt Series, the Patchwork Tree quilt block. This simple block construction is perfect for using a wide assortment of scraps including tonal shades.
Patchwork Tree Block Details
The Patchwork Tree quilt block is available in 2 different finished sizes.
- 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)
- 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm)
Materials & Tool Supply List:
- Assorted Scraps: Green, Brown, & Background Prints
- Cutting mat/ Rotary cutter/ Quilt ruler
- Heat erasing marking tool
- Spray starch
The simple design and patchwork construction of this block make it perfect for the beginner quilter. This block highlights strip piecing, straight stitching, and nesting seams.
This week you can add the Patchwork Tree quilt block pattern to your library for free after that it will be available for sale in the shop.
Even though we normally think of the average tree in shades of green, I can see this block made in a wide range of colors. Just look at the fall landscape for inspiration and I’m sure you will dream up something fantastic!

In order to save the quilt block pattern, you will need to first check out in the store. Then you will receive the pattern for download. Simply click the link and save it to a safe place for easy finding on your desktop. Looking forward to seeing what fabrics you stitch up.
