Point Break Waves Quilt Block | Blocks 2 Quilt

No beach or ocean themed quilt would be complete without a waves block so, here is my take. Allow me to introduce the Point Break Waves quilt block.

Seriously, there is just something special about the soothing sounds of the ocean that bring me back to my younger years. From body surfing to early morning walks…. so many memories.

One of my favorite features of this block is the versatility. Not only does look wonderful as a square unit but when stitched in repetition, it creates a fantastic border.

Waves Quilt Block Details:

Each finished Waves quilt block measures-

• 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)
• 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm)

Material & Tool Supply List:

• Assorted Scraps: Assorted Blues & Background Prints
• Cutting mat/ Rotary cutter/ Quilt ruler
• Heat erasing marking tool
• Spray starch
• Basic Sewing Supplies

This block is a simple patchwork construction that requires sub cutting, half square triangles and some bias sewing. It is the perfect skill builder for the confident beginner.
