Blind stitch –
noun
- a type of stitch made by hand or sewing machine designed to be nearly invisible on the finished sewn item
You can hand stitch a blind stitch or sew it on a machine. The key element to a blind stitch is to keep your stitches from showing on the right side of the item. Blind stitches are useful in hemming garments or curtains and also in finishing a quilt binding.
