Last week, I got a pretty cool invite from my sweet and talented friend Jennifer of EllisonLane to take part of the Around the World Blog Hop.
I feel so lucky to have met Jen. She is local…. HURRAH!!! Is the amazing host of Sew South and has the most amazing sense of color. I swear, I’d be happy to have just one of anything she makes! Just check out that triangle quilt.

So, I happily said yes and then immediately got a nervous knot in my stomach since I don’t consider myself to be a quilter. You know that feeling of self-doubt…. that was me. Oh well, that’s never stopped me before so, here goes nothing!
As a guest of the Around the World Blog Hop, you are asked to share something of yourself. Here are the list of questions.
1. What you’re working on.
2. How does your work differ from others of its genre?
3. Why do you write/create what you do?
4. How does your writing/creating process work?
Since I’m terrible at keeping secrets, I headed straight for number 1. Whatcha working on???
Well, these days I seem to be crazy in love with freestyle stitching and the idea of drawing with thread. I’m really interested in the way it adds another dimension to the fabric. Here are a few sneak peeks.
and a few blocks for a new charity quilt I am working on. See, I guess I do quilt!
But at t the end of the day the one thing I know is…..
and I LOVE IT!!
Next Friday the Around the World Blog Hop train will make these fun stops:
Caroline has four children and a room full of fabric. Sewing has been her passion (and her sanity) for as long as she can remember. She loves to sew for herself and her kids, and would quilt all day if her family allowed. Read more about what she does at sewcanshe.com.
and
Kim is an everyday mom, blogger and (somewhat) mild-mannered girl most of the time and a thrill sewer the rest! She wants to help everyone to just take that first stitch and find out how wonderful the world of sewing can be for them! You can find her stitching along at MyGo-GoLife.
I hope you enjoyed my little stop on the around the world blog hop and the quick peek inside what I’m working on. Be sure to pay a visit to my friends next week. They are crazy talented and Oh So Fun to hang around!
