Some of you may have noticed a new little button along my side bar for Creativation this past month and now, I wanted to share more.
Creativation is part of The Craft & Hobby Association also know as CHA. CHA is an international non-profit trade association consisting of thousands of members engaged in the design, manufacturing/distribution and retail sales of craft products worldwide. Think HUGE!!
Now, don’t for one second let that fool you. It’s not all big wigs or desk jockeys. Nope, it’s everyday creative John’s & Jane’s like you and me. It’s the designers that you see everyday in your local shops, the authors you adore and the product inventors we admire. The association provides a place for us to come together to collaborate, provides education, showcases new product lines and SO much more!! They are really a hub of creativity at your fingertips.
This year, their Mega Show is going to have a special focus on all things fiber related and I can not be more thrilled to take part in it. You see, a few months back The Craft & Hobby Association approached me about speaking at the event and as you can imagine, I was thrilled! I have always heard such wonderful stories about the show but was never able to attend. This time, it was meant to be.
While at the 5 day show, I’ll be learning all kinds of craftiness, meeting new creatives (hopefully you) and speaking to the membership about building a stronger creative community together. Y’all know that’s kinda close to my heart! But that’s not all….
I’ll be sharing live coverage of the Fashion Fusion Collaborative Challenge direct from the floor. Not only will it be great to see the creative teams in action but I can’t wait to see their finished pieces take the stage during The After Party fashion show. Talk about a “Project Runway” moment!
Plus, for all of you Innovation types, The Ultimate Pitch event is one you mustn’t miss because someone is going to win $10,000 to launch their very own product.
