The past few weeks I’ve been working on a special projects that are just for friends. Each finished quilt, bag or small gift is made with the person in mind. Some of these projects will be holiday gifts and the others are just because but no matter what the reason, they all need sewing labels.
Sewing labels are so much easier to make at home that people think. Let me show you.
Adding Sewing Labels
With just a few supplies you can create and customize your own beautiful labels. The quickest way to start is by purchasing downloadable label designs. Depending on the design, you can customize the file on the computer or hand write a note before attaching. Then it is time to load the printer with fabric sheets and hit the print button. That right, I said fabric. You can purchase pre cut fabric sheets at your local shop or on-line here..
Or if you feel daring, you can even make your own like I did above. For those of you that are not sure where to start or worried they won’t last after washing, be sure to check out my printing on fabric post here. You will see that I’ve not only put these to the test but shared photos each step of the way.
It’s so important to label your handy work, especially when it’s a gift. Luckily, these print at home sewing labels make it so easy! They come in so many different sizes and shapes. There is even a bundle pack in my shop. Find your favorite here.
Now all that’s left to do is wrap them up and give them. Fingers crossed everyone loves them!
