Each year I vow to spend more time with my girls, laugh a little louder and smile more often but this year, I’m adding something new. Well correction, I am actually determined to take something off my plate….
My computer!
Welcome to my Sewing Plan
My motto for 2016 will be –
What that means in a nutshell is less time sitting in front of my computer and more time here.
Sitting in my special corner, right in front of my sewing machine! I’ve actually gotten a jump start on this new found direction and have been stitching up a storm. I did a quick check yesterday on my new girl and noticed that she has just under 400,000 stitches on it. My plan is to triple my stitch count in 2016, think over 1 million stitches on my personal machine. Remember this does not include any serger action, classroom stitching time or hand sewing.
What does this mean for The Sewing Loft Readers-
Well, don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. In fact, I will still be here sharing sewing tips, easy patterns and tons of creative sewing inspiration on the blog but Instagram is a totally different story. I will be sharing more photos of the personal projects in the works including: Jelly Rolls, adding to my mini quilt collection and updating my closet.
And since I love, Love, LOVE happy mail, I’ll be joining a few SWAPS throughout the year and the first one on my list is the scrap bag swap with my friends at the Scrappy Girls Club. I can not wait to see what bundle of goodies arrives in my mailbox!
As always. along the way, I will be keeping it real y’all! That means, real life time in action sewing shots on my Instagram feed.
So, as I say goodbye to 2015 and welcome the new year ahead, I wonder what’s your sewing plan look like? Leave me a comment below and maybe we can help cheer each other along the way!
