We are kicking off the Quiltologie Mini Mania summer series in style with the Stellar Star quilt design. This design is made from HST units and is a great beginner project.
The Quiltologie Mini Mania Stellar Star quilt kit is made by Fabric Editions and comes complete with all fabrics.

The Stellar Star mini quilt finishes at 18 1/2″ x 18 1/2″. It is designed to help you perfect your points and I even have a great tip to show you how!
But let’s not stop there. Since the kit features white and bright floral prints, I wanted to showcase the design from a different point of view. So, I dug into my scrap basket and pulled out a few of my favorite fabrics. Let’s take a look at how it turned out.
My Stellar Star Mini
I just love the way the scraps are highlighted but the Quilter’s Linen Grey background fabric.
The Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmers ruler helped me square up my HST’s in a flash. To show you just how easy it is to use, I shared a quick video in my Scrappy Girls Club group here.
Once stitched up it was time to think about quilting. I used my laser beam guideline feature to the test with rows of straight line quilting. Another way to visually audition straight stitches is with washi or painters tape. The low tack removable tape is perfect for creating straight lines on any project.
In the end, I just love the way it turned out and can not wait to see it hanging on the wall with the rest of the collection.
