I’ve heard over and over again that zippers are scary. So to help remove the fear from the process, I’ve gathered 11 zipper hacks that may make your life easier. These zipper hacks are great for increasing your skills, speeding up your process and just helping you push past the fear!
Zipper Hacks

2. Zipper Foot-
Be sure to have the right tools for the job! This little accessory can make all the difference in the world.
3. Zipper Tabs-
Not only are tabs a great way to add a splash of color but they allow you to shorten the zipper with a clean finish.
4. Scissors-
The plastic and metal teeth on a zipper can damage your expensive fabric scissors or brand new rotary blade. So, it is best to use a designated pair.
Zippers are thick and this can make pinning a challenge. So, instead reach for the clips.
6. Glue Baste-
An alternative to clips and pins is glue. This will help your zipper “stay put” while you stitch.

This type of zipper kisses at the center and is commonly found in garments.
