Let’s face it, the holidays are here and it’s time to pull out the festive decor, spread the cheer, and sprinkle the fairy dust everywhere. That’s why, I thought it would be fun to add this Gnome quilt block to my collection.
There has been much debate of this little guy in my household. My girls insist that he looks like a wizard or one of the seven dwarfs and Mr. TSL is wondering why the beard is not bigger. So, whichever camp you are in, I hope you enjoy the block.
Gnome Quilt Block Details
The Gnome Quilt Block is available to download in two finished sizes.
- 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm)
- 12″ x 12″ (33 x 33 cm)
Materials & Supplies:
- Assorted Scraps: Green, Orange, White, Gray and Background Prints
- Cutting mat/ Rotary cutter/ Quilt ruler
- Heat erasing marking tool
- Spray starch
- Flatter Spray
- Sewing Machine
This block is made with a patchwork construction and overall is easy. But I will warn you, the 6″ finished block has a few smaller pieces.

Gnome Quilt Block
This easy to make quilt block is available in 12″ x 12″ & 6″ x 6″ finished sizes. It is perfect for using up your smaller scraps and requires no special tools, templates, or rulers.
Now, if you are loving the block but know that time is tight for the holidays, consider turning the 12″ finished block into a pillow. Just add a simple border around the finished block to accommodate your pillow form and finish it off with this easy pillow cover.
Or how about a table runner? You can stitch three or more finished blocks together and add a simple border. Here are a few mock-ups to give you some inspiration.

I am trying to get the gnome pattern before tomorrow but I do not know what I have to do. It says add to cart and then it does not take me to the order area. Please, tell me what to do.
