We are in the final stages of the Sweet on You mystery sew along and it’s time to cut out the fabric pieces for each sashing row.
These simple rows will join together each row of colorful quilt blocks made during the past few weeks and help complete our Sweet On You layout.
Sashing Row Details:
- Size: 2 1/2″ x 63″ finished
- Number of rows: 8
Cutting Details:
From background fabric:
- Sashing size: 3″ x 32″
- Number of pieces: 16
After cutting, align background rectangles, right sides together. Pin and join pieces together with 1/4″ seam allowance. Press seam allowance to one side and repeat to complete 8 units.
Join each row of sashing between your block rows as per diagram with 1/4″ seam allowance. Remember to press seam allowance to one side. Once complete it’s time to add the borders.

I SIgned up but never received the pineapple smoothie block. How can I get it?

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I went back and can see that you signed up for the sew along back in May of 2017 and all emails were sent.
To make things easy, I have gone ahead and restarted the sew along for you and you should be receiving the emails shortly. Please keep me posted on your progress!

Hey! This looks amazing. Would like to give a try to this technique. It might get difficult in the starting but might become handy with time.
